At Infants’ Health Foundation we identify a remote community with few and hard to reach health facilities where the roads are in poor state, women have to move for over 5km to access a health facility
We establish a working relationship with the existing government health facilities that support us with advice, relevant information concerning the community, and supplying fortified super mama porridge to the mothers they work on in the health facility. We also hire and contract some as our mobile nurses.
After we track for pregnant mothers in the chosen remote villages and those near each other are mobilized and organized in manageable groups of 15 to 25 mothers. They select a convenient home of one member where our nurses meet them to offer the services.
